Dressed to Impress

Okay, I think there is something wrong with this picture...

and these...

and how about these two...

and these are just, well... WRONG!!

However, I think it is one of the cutest things I have ever seen!  If she calls you next week, and says something like this..."Hey, it is Ruby Mae.  PLEASE come and rescue me from these crazy people.", don't be at all surprised.  Not to worry, we don't torture her like this everyday or for very long.  I feel kinda bad if I laugh at her every time she enters the room with one of these outfits on, so I take it off.  The last thing I want to do is hurt her self-esteem.....ha ha ha!!!!!

Meet Ruby Mae!

We are in love with a 2 lb. fur ball at our house!  Despite all the talks about how Santa does NOT deliver live animals, you can MAYBE have a dog when you are 10, they are VERY hard to take care of, etc... Santa did not disappoint this year.  Ruby Mae greeted our fun-loving children with licks and playful reserve on Christmas morning.  The first words from my daughters mouth were, "I think I am going to cry".  I wanted to say the same about my temporary moment of insanity, but smiled and enjoyed the new found energy in our home.  Needless to say, this Christmas will be one to remember!!

Yes, he got eye black in his stocking...

One very happy little girl...

Can't you just here the giggles from this picture?  The best thing about Ruby, she has brought the love of laughter and joy into our home in a "new" way.  She is so cute, we don't even mind her messes!  Oh, and I even caught my "not so sure about this idea" husband, holding her in his lap the other day.

My favorite place to visit at Christmas

In our city, there is an old Victorian house that hosts teas and special events.  This year, they invited Mr, and Mrs. Claus to visit with the children.  It really puts me in the Christmas spirit with the Old World style decor and the most sincere Santa and Mrs. Claus that you would ever meet.  My kids loved it!
